Elkatherm German Electric Radiators
Mr Brookes from Stroud, Gloucestershire called Cotswold Heating Solutions to enquire about ELKAtherm German electric radiators as he had recently purchased a property and inherited old night storage heaters, two of which didn’t work whatsoever. Those that were working in the property he found to be very fiddly to control and extremely inconsistent in the heat output. The heaters had obviously been there for many years and had even discoloured the decor above, leaving a nasty dark stain.
We went to visit Mr Brookes and carried out a free survey on his home which included assessing the current glazing and insulation within. Measurements were taken and suggestions were made regarding appropriate sizes and potential locations for each of our ELKAtherm radiators. We naturally involve all of our customers in the decision-making process and Mr Brookes was no different, being shown the various options for controlling the radiators and the 200+ colours that they can also come in. Our innovative HeatApp was decided on so the radiators can be controlled remotely via his phone whilst away on business.
On the day of the install we arrived and quickly set to, removing the old, bulky night storage heaters. All bricks were carefully removed and then the metal carcasses were taken away for recycling. The team installed our stylish ELKAtherm electric radiators in no time and made any slight adjustments to the existing electrical installation that were required (on this occasion simply changing old fused connection units for new). Once installed we set the system up and balanced everything according to the different temperatures that Mr Brookes wanted in different rooms. He liked the bedrooms to be colder so we set those at 17 degrees whilst the lounge and dining room were at a cosy 21 degrees. We showed him how to use the app in detail, tidied up and were on our way.
Since the installation, we have been in contact with Mr Brookes to ensure he is happy with his new ELKAtherm electric radiators. His response was one that we hear a lot – that he feels he has regained control over his heating and his bills, even seeing a slight reduction in his monthly electricity bill.
